GÖKHAN ATEŞ

Gökhan Ateş is a photojournalist certified by the New York Institute of Photography and based in the San Francisco Bay Area and Çanakkale, Turkey. With experience both as a reporter for a local daily newspaper in Turkey and as a portrait and product photographer in the Bay Area, Gökhan specializes in telling stories and shedding light on important issues through photography. Some highlights of Gökhan’s reporting experience include contributing to national news agencies, assisting journalists from Reuters in accessing Syrian refugees migrating through Turkey, and writing a political column with a significant local following.
